OurTube 1.2 - 2010/01/27
Downloading Videos works again, and improved! Previously we just tried to download standard FLV videos, while we'll try now to download the highest quality available video, pre-defined videos are HD 1080p, HD 720p, Standard MP4, FLV HQ 480p, FLV LQ 360p, FLV LegacyHQ, and FLV LegacyLQ. The one which found first will be downloaded (forwarded to you)
Fixed links from pointing to your site root, in case it's in a subfolder.
We'll now use cURL if it's available, else fallback to the build-in engine.
Improved AJAX management, handling and routines.
Changed encoding algorithm for YouTube Videos ID so that it's more browser friendly and better suitable for modrewrite-enabled websites.
Apache SpamAssassin 3.3.0 is a mature, wide-spectrum, extensible email filtering package deployed by hundreds of thousands of organizations worldwide.
Apache SpamAssassin 3.3.0 represents a major shift in how SpamAssassin rules (the actual patterns that help to identify spam) are updated. Rules are now separate from the core product and are instead downloaded using "sa-update," SpamAssassin's automatic update software. This method was optional with the 3.2.x series of releases and has proven to be very popular.
SpamAssassin provides a comprehensive set of features and support for methods and standards such as text based patterns, bayesian scoring, DNS based black and white lists, DKIM and SPF sender authentication, and email signature clearing houses. The software utilizes a principle of identifying multiple reasons for classifying an email as spam to improve accuracy and decrease the chance of legitimate emails being incorrectly identified as spam
Clan Themes is pleased to release the biggest BBToNuke pack ever to the nuke community
This pack contains 208 phpbb mods/hacks for your Nuke Forums collected from all over the web and the best part about it is that its all in one easy browsable html structure with every title and detailed description.
Categories are as follows:
Add Ons (47)
Admin Mods (28)
Finally PHPNukeForDonkeys.com is pleased to present a professional block for PHPNuke that can show you the latest news or the latest downloads and the latest contents of any PHPNuke module.
Unlike the similar blocks that require manual entry of text and images, this block will show automatically the latest articles published with text and image.
If you want to discover all the features, see two demos and learn about the ease of use and customization you can:
- Read complete Presentation article here
- Read detailed PDF Tutorial here
- Download Slide Show Professional block (with a donation) here
Do not use the Clear Expired Blocks function in NukeSentinel(tm) admin. A bug has been found that can completely empty your htaccess file. Instead delete each expired block by way of the Blocked IP's List. This function does not use the same logic as the mass clearing does and therefore does not have this danger.
PHP-Clans.com have found a fix for many people receiving the same problem when uploading and installing this module.
It seems that you download this module, upload to the correct locations and when you try to install/alter the sql tables you get redirected to the home page?
Or if that works fine, you enter your phpnuke downloads page, click the download you want to download and it give you a white page?
DESCRIPTION: Some bugs have been discovered in Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat, which may cause an included ActiveX control to crash. The bugs are caused due to errors in the AcroPDF ActiveX control (AcroPDF.dll) when processing arbitrary arguments passed to the "setPageMode()", "setLayoutMode()", "setNamedDest()", and "LoadFile()" methods.
NOTE: Secunia has currently decided to treat these issues as crash bugs as further internal research and dialogue with the vendor indicates that no risk of potential remote code execution has been proven. Currently, only crashes have been confirmed by locally executing a WSF file (Windows Script File), which is considered an untrusted file type.
The bugs are confirmed in Adobe Reader 7.0.5 and 7.0.8 for Windows. They have also been reported in Adobe Reader 7.0.0 through 7.0.8 and Adobe Acrobat Standard and Professional 7.0.0 through 7.0.8 on the Windows platform. Prior versions may also be affected.
SOLUTION: The vendor recommends deleting AcroPDF.dll (this workaround will prevent PDF documents from opening in Internet Explorer). The vendor is currently working on an update for version 7.0.8 for Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat.
PROVIDED AND/OR DISCOVERED BY: Originally reported in the "LoadFile()" method by Michal Bucko (sapheal), hack.pl. Other bugs reported by FrSIRT.

About a year ago I designed some banners and transparent buttons that community members can add to their RN site to show their support for the best CMS out there.
When posting this, I noticed that there is no "support" option to choose for RN. I wonder why!
You can grab your free banner or transparent button by going here:
Come on, support RavenNuke(tm) .... a donation of $5.00 I'm sure helps. Think of the time and effort that the "Development Team" puts into designing quality products.
Today you need to remember many passwords. You need a password for the Windows network logon, your e-mail account, your website's FTP password, online passwords (like website member account), etc. etc. etc. The list is endless. Also, you should use different passwords for each account. Because if you use only one password everywhere and someone gets this password you have a problem... A serious problem. The thief would have access to your e-mail account, website, etc. Unimaginable.
KeePass is a free open source password manager, which helps you to manage your passwords in a secure way. You can put all your passwords in one database, which is locked with one master key or a key file. So you only have to remember one single master password or select the key file to unlock the whole database. The databases are encrypted using the best and most secure encryption algorithms currently known (AES and Twofish). For more information, see the features page.
To support the victims of the Australian bushfires we've created our best book deal ever. For the next 3 days, you can pick any 5 books (in PDF format) and pay for only 1. That's about $150 worth of books for just $29.95!

You may have installed countless add-on in Firefox to enhance your using experience, but if you want to get the most out of Firefox, you really have to hack your way into the about:config.
The about:config page contains most (if not, all) of Firefox configuration options. It is so far the most effective, and the most powerful way to tweak and enhance your Firefox performance. Here are 28 of the popular tweaks.
What do you think? I have been tweaking my KISGB and as I was thinking about releasing it I got to wondering if guestbooks are even used much anymore. With Twitter, Facebook, Blogs, etc., are they still used or needed?

Hello everyone, This is Scott Johnson aka - Nukeum66, I hope you all doing well.
I have recently been re-connected with a girl I went to High School with, Pam B.and she has told me about the needs of another classmate, Kim Dye. Kim resides at Drake Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio and has been there for over 11 years. Kim suffered a stroke after the birth of her second son; the stroke left her unable to care for herself. Moreover, she only has use of her right arm and is unable to speak. After Pam visited with Kim, it was very clear to Pam and others that Kim is capable of understanding everything that is going on around her, and desperately wants to communicate with everyone. She still has a great sense of humor and remembers a lot. She has communicated to everyone who visits her that she wants to write a book. Pam and I know we can help her achieve this goal. So, after Pam met with Kim's speech therapists and researching options she has found a device that will be easy for Kim to use and will help convert the text that she types on the computer into a voice.
If any of you are in the Cincinnati, OH area on June 28th, we are hosting a Bike Run and Party Bus to help raise funds for the communication device. We are attaching the flier for anyone interested in attending the event. If you could also pass it along to your contacts that would be greatly appreciated. Get the Bike Run information
If you or someone you know is unable to attend but would like to help by donating, we have set up a Pay Pal donation account for Kim. Its a safe, secure and easy way to contribute. Here's the link Donate to A Voice for Kim
I just released a new theme at http://www.harrykel.com . What is so unique about this theme isn't the theme itself but the site where we decided to release it from.
Harry Kel is the sole survivor of parents who survived the Holocaust in the most infamous death camp of the Third Reich, Auschwitz/Birkenau. Harry was born in a Displaced Persons camp in Foehrenwald Germany. His site is a massive collection of factual information which we have been researching for years.
Why not drop in and take a look, to get the theme you will have to become a member.
Several tech companies and online communities have come out against the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA), a recently proposed piece of legislation that many feel will bring unnecessary censorship to the web. But much less attention has been given to how the bill will affect the overall landscape of business and innovation.
The bill, introduced by Rep. Lamar Smith in late October, gives both the U.S. government and copyright holders the authority to seek court orders against websites associated with infringing, pirating and/or counterfeiting intellectual property. So for example, a website that provides a collection of links to sites that illegally stream copyrighted video content could get shut down and taken to court under SOPA, despite the fact that the site isn’t streaming the content itself.
If the government had the sole responsibility of policing websites that violated copyrighted intellectual property, it would be a much different scenario. However, because the copyright holders also get to enforce the law (under SOPA), it allows them to push around anyone who may compete with them under the guise of upholding the law. Giant media companies — music labels, television networks and movie studios in particular — could easily take advantage of this situation.
Years ago, as a Network Engineer in the Air Force, I learned the importance of Univac as I studied it. My masters thesis was on the inner working of the Univac 1050II. Later Sperry Univac, and still later Linux. My forte was hex and decimal programming. But as familiar things fade away, I decided it was time for a change. Ubuntu with KDE became my passion and I am still reliant on it to perform a myriad of software task daily.

.. excerpt from http://www.ubuntu.com/project/open-source ..
Where did open source come from?
Originally coined in 1998, the term open source came out of the free software movement, a collaborative force going strong since the dawn of computing in the 1950s. This early community was responsible for the development of many of the first operating systems, software and, in 1969, the Internet itself. Read more at http://www.ubuntu.com/project/open-source
IMPACT: Unknown, Cross Site Scripting, System access
SOFTWARE: Mambo 4.x - http://secunia.com/product/872/
DESCRIPTION: Some vulnerabilities have been reported in Mambo, one with an unknown impact and others, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting attacks or to compromise a vulnerable system. The vulnerabilities are reported in version 4.6.2. Prior versions may also be affected.
PHP Freaks is a great resource for Web Masters and everyone else using PHP. There is sadness in the community though. One of their own has passed away. Read the story.
As promised in the September 10, 2005 News Story on Michelle Ramos, in addition to my personal donation to the family I promised that all monies donated to this site during the month of September would be donated to her cause also. Your giving came to approximately $140 (net). Thanks so much! I will ask that we be given update ASAP. Thanks once again.
With Internet Explorer 9 barely out of the labs, Microsoft yesterday caught many developers by surprise, with the launch of the first platform preview of the latest incarnation of their popular web browser, Internet Explorer 10, at this years Mix conference.
The latest version of Internet Explorer, currently only three weeks into the development cycle, already boasts an impressive array of improvements, particularly in terms of CSS3 support, addressing many of the areas missed by IE9. For this release, Microsoft has paid particular attention to the CSS3 layout modules, with the platform preview offering implementations of the CSS3 Multi-column Layout module, the Flexible Box Layout module, and the recently announced CSS3 Grid Layout module.
Have you ever wondered why most spammers advertise medications and send you to sites that look legit? The reason is because they are selling illegal, dangerous, and copycat products. The worst part of the scam is that they also get your credit card number, home address, email address, and possibly your phone number too. Identity theft is a big player in this counterfeit drug scam. The crooks usually get away with three things:
1. Spamming your email or website or both.
2. Profiting from your purchase of potentially life threatening medications that they have made themselves.
3. Stealing your identity.
And I'm not just talking about China, it happens in all countries including the USA. It's important to stop these spammers.
A couple of years ago I wrote a script that would backup the RN database and incorporated it with Big Dump to handle the restore functions. I shelved my mod after going through a ton of testing with great results. I then got onto something else that, at the time, was a lot more important, and shelved it.
I blew the dust off of it today and will finish it up. Instead of using my backup script I found a better more feature rich backup script that I will be using along with Big Dump.
This will be a large mod and I'll need to have a place in Raven's forums for discussion. My Php coding skills are rusty so input will be necessary. Anyhow, more to come through Raven's forums (I hope).
As I always say and believe, please support RavenNuke(tm) anyway you can.

Oracle is set on Tuesday to release 78 security fixes for vulnerabilities in its database, middleware and applications, according to a preview announcement posted to the company's website this week.
A full 27 of those are targeted for the MySQL database. One of the vulnerabilities can be exploited over a network without log-in credentials. The highest CVSS (Common Vulnerability Scoring System) Base Score among the MySQL bugs is 5.5, which falls into the system's "medium" risk range.
Two other fixes are for Oracle's database, and Oracle is also planning to ship 11 patches for Fusion Middleware. Five of the bugs in the latter can be remotely exploited with no user authentication required.

Traditionally, it seems like Java is the web language of choice for corporations, and PHP has been the web language of choice for people who own their own websites (i.e. small scale websites). It also seems like both of these groups will swear by anything that their language, whether it be PHP or Java, is the supreme language of the universe..... Read More by Eric Rowell on March 4th, 2010

PHP is a scripting language designed to fill the gap between SSI (Server Side Includes) and Perl, intended largely for the web environment. PHP has gained quite a following in recent times, and it is one of the forerunners in the Open Source software movement. Its popularity derives from its C-like syntax, and its simplicity. PHP is currently divided into two major versions: PHP 4 and PHP 5, although PHP 4 is deprecated and is no longer developed or supplied with critical bug fixes. PHP 6 is currently under development.
If you've ever been to a website that needs you to login, you've probably encountered a server-side scripting language. Due to its market saturation, this means you've probably come across PHP. PHP was designed by Rasmus Lerdorf to display his resume online and to collect data from his visitors.
Basically, PHP allows a static webpage to become dynamic. "PHP" is an acronym that stands for "PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor". The word "Preprocessor" means that PHP makes changes before the HTML page is created. This enables developers to create powerful applications which can publish a blog, remotely control hardware, or run a powerful website such as Wikipedia or Wikibooks. Of course, to accomplish something such as this, you need a database application such as MySQL.

Over the last few weeks we have made a few important decisions, that we believe can positively impact phpBB development. These include changes to development infrastructure as well as our development model. I will briefly outline these changes here, more details will be posted on the blog or as an announcement soon.
Summers here are it's already hot. Almost as hot as the latest RavenNuke release.
How many of you have downloaded it and now have it running on your website? I bet alot of you have been surfing the web looking for a new block or module or even a new add-on for your site. Have you taken the time to ensure that your new addition was from a trusted source?
More and more people who run the most secure CMS there is are getting hacked through third party modules, add-ons, and other standalone applications.
How many of you have actually gone into your phpmyadmin and performed a complete backup of your database(s)? Afterall it's pretty easy to do.
-- Login to phpmyadmin
-- Choose the database to backup
-- Choose export
-- Look at the window and make sure that sql is checked under the export area
-- Download the structure and the data
-- I always choose the .zip option & save as file
-- Click on Go and find a real safe place on your desktop to store it.
-- I back mine up daily but that's personal preference
It won't keep your site from getting hacked through a third party application but it is invaluable if you do get hacked.
Remember to create a different database for each standalone application you have installed and back those up too.
DESCRIPTION: A vulnerability has been reported in PostNuke, which can be exploited by malicious people to disclose sensitive information. Input passed to the "PNSVlang" variable is not properly sanitised before it is used to include files in error.php. This can be exploited to include arbitrary files via directory traversal attacks. The vulnerability is reported in versions prior to 0.764.
SOLUTION: Update to version 0.764.
PROVIDED AND/OR DISCOVERED BY: The vendor credits Kacper.

After more than a year since the last release of RavenNuke(tm) (v2.40.01) the RavenNuke(tm) Team is happy to announce the next release of your favorite CMS. There are some major changes, many fixes, enhancements and just too many to list. Be sure to read the Change Log for a list of all of the changes. Also be sure to consult the RNWIKI for additional information and help. There is a separate forum for just RN v2.5 issues. Be sure to ONLY use that forum.
The most important and major change in this release is adding the minimum requirement of PHP v5.2 or newer. You will need to be sure your host has v5.2 or newer installed or some things just won't work.
You may have seen my news story earlier about RavenNuke(tm) banners. Well, after messing around with phpBB3 and losing all of the themes I had for display and download there (I have Backups) I have decided to leave that piece of OpenSource alone and use RN exclusively.
I set up the downloads area and have loaded the RN banners and the Renewal series of themes. I have 2 more categories of themes to upload then I will be able to design some more themes.
Please visit my website at http://www.papamikecreations.net to view and/or download a banner or theme. I do apologize to the people who had registered through BB3 when I was using it and hope that they will register again and take advantage of all the things I will have for download and numerous other things.
Whether you download one of my banners, use one of Raven's buttons or design your own, please display it on your website and let everyone see who you support.
The guys who work on the most secure CMS on the Internet deserve our support for all of their hard work and Then for letting all of us download RavenNuke(tm) for free. It's a deal that can't be beat!
Hey you, come join the official group of our beloved CMS RavenNuke(tm) on Facebook and help spread the word by joining and inviting all your friends to meet the greatest CMS out there.
Note: the group will not be used for support purposes, for that matter you can always get first class support on these superb forums.
I am so pleased to announce you the immediate availability of my brand new theme Rox as well as the revamped one Chely. They are super lightweight and pleasant on the eyes, standards and cross browser/platform compliant. Be ready to take your RavenNuke site to a new level of elegance never seen in the nuke world!
64bit has informed me that http://www.techgfx.com has died. This is unfortunate for the users that use the Nuke Platinum distribution.
Quoting 64bit "So where does that leave everyone that used Nuke Platinum. Well fortunately there is the Platinum Mods domain where you can get updates and fixes. While I only just registered there today (as I fix and update my domains completely on my own) I've heard that many in the community are making that domain their new home for Platinum Support. I think that Platinum Mods is being run by Technocrat who did most of the support over at techgfx.com in the first place, but after the fiasco at techgfx.com I have stayed out of the Platinum community completely, so I can't say anything about evolution of Platinum or who is even involved for sure."
DESCRIPTION: Some vulnerabilities have been reported in Google Chrome, which potentially can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.
The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) was developed by the major credit card companies to help prevent credit card fraud and security vulnerabilities and threats. Companies that process, store or transmit payment card data must be PCI DSS compliant, and must validate compliance periodically.
During this event, a Trustwave expert will describe in detail the 12 requirements and how to meet the terms of the PCI DSS. Level 4 merchants and those who are just beginning the compliance cycle will find this webinar useful.
Websense Security Lab™ ThreatSeeker™ Network has discovered that search terms related to Corey Haim have become the latest target for Blackhat SEO
Corey Haim, 1980s teen idol actor and a star of such famous movies as "The Lost Boys" and "License to Drive", was found dead in his Los Angeles apartment at the age of only 38 on Wednesday.
Whether it's a natural disaster or a death, Blackhats monitor and adapt to popular search trends. Not long after the sad news emerged, the search phrase "Corey Haim" became one of the hottest topics in Google trends.
Cybercriminals again jump at a chance to spread their rogue AVs. When users enter keywords such as "Corey Haim death" in Google, some of the results will lead them to download fake security software. The downloading FakeAV file has only 17% coverage from antivirus products.
Websense Messaging and Websense Web Security customers are protected against this attack.
I don't know how many GIMP users are in the community, but if you are, then you know how diverse it is. I have used Photoshop back when I was a Windows geek, but, have been a faithful user of The GIMP since it's inception. And, I can say that it has come a long way. For Linux users, like me, it just plain out takes the place of Photoshop and certainly Paint shop Pro.
Now to use a fine piece of software, like The GIMP, you may need resources to go to and stay current on the issues and etc..
Here's where I go Mahvin.com it's all about The GIMP and, of course, it's a hot ticket item.

v3.5 of KISSQ has been released. This is a bug fix for the stand-alone version and a couple of internal tweaks. Since the same files are used for all versions you should download this update even if you run this as a nuke/post-nuke module. Thanks to user upennballer for finding this!
Say What?!? This is so totally off topic for this site, but to be honest with you, I can't help it! And to those whom I have turned away for off topic news, well, do as I say; not as I do
I do not own one, but I have seen them and actually held one. See for yourself here.
I was helping a family member about a month back get her blog and web site going and started thinking if I should give 'er a go. Well, I finally broke down and did it. Montego Musings is officially open! I have a whole list of topics that I want to cover related to web site design, PHP, mySQL, compliance, PHP-Nuke and RavenNuke(tm), etc. So, come on over and check it out and let me know your thoughts. Feel free to debate, expound, etc. in the comments. However, spammers beware as I am "watching you"...
I kinda tripped over this resource and thought I'd share it with everyone.

I don't believe there is a true definition that covers malware. The spectrum in a classic sense is too broad to define as one thing or another. Malware takes on many forms and affects ones computer in various ways. If you have a suspected malware infection, which tool do you use to clean your system and how do you tell that malware may be present on your computer.
Let me give a couple of examples. If your browser suddenly starts to act up by offering up 404 'Page Not Found' errors when you attempt to browse to certain sites. The sites may be grouped into a specific category such as sites which offer virus detection tools or online scans. Your internet connection (DSL) slows down, or your resident email starts to act up strangely and the list goes on but is generalized as something about your computer that has changed and you can't figure out why.
A deep rooted malware may not be discovered by the best anti-virus detection software out there. Even when you run your rootkit detection software it may not find anything out of the ordinary. Or when you suspect that your browser has been hijacked but detection software rules it out or can't find an infection, even when using powerful software such as Spybot Search & Destroy, or AdAware.
So how can it be best discovered and destroyed? I discovered a small tool which does it's work in DOS and is as complicated and potentially dangerous to use as it is useful in problem solving.
