I have this running on my current 7.6.0.3.3 patched site. It works perfectly, however I am changing, with a fresh install to RN 2.4 and wondered if anyone had had any issues with this excellent module?

I will post later if I find any issues.

Many thanks.

You should look at the configuration in the Your_Account module before installing Approve Membership on 2.4. RN has included RNYA for a couple of releases now. RNYA is based on NSN-YA and CNBYA, which offer virtually the same functionality as Approve Membership.

Thank you I have found this now and understand what you mean. Not sure exactly what to put in the fields for adding new fields to the registration though. Is there some documentation which may tell me please?

Do you mean custom fields?

The only thing missing are the specific email message texts that you are configure in Approve Membership. But, I would NOT try and implement Approve Membership on RN 2.3 + UNLESS Ken has created a version of it specific to these releases... RNYA is completely different and you will definitely break it.

@kguske
Yes, but I think I have worked out how to fill in most of it - I have to add the questions to the language file, is that correct? Sorry I am really acting a little useless at the moment - do forgive me.

@montego
OK thank you. I might email Ken about it - he's usually pretty helpful and he may be interested in producing a version for RN. I am not worried about the mails as I never bothered with those anyway - just the custom fields on registration. I would be interested to know if some of the custom fields can be integrated into the forums - i.e. in AM under you name and avatar you could have the custom fields showing. In my case it was favourite colour: answer, favourite film: answer, currently reading: answer. Maybe there is a simple way to integrate that in RN?

If your site only uses one language, you can enter the text (questions) when creating the field.

Ah yes - thank you I'm on it now. Sorry I ask so many questions - I like to really understand what I am doing rather than just ask for someone to do it for me.

Nuken has re-done my theme for me which is very kind but I have asked him to tell me what he did so I can understand and help others if required.

I know I'm a pain with all the questions I ask but I also want to give something back to this community for the help they have given. And when I have some dosh next week I will donate to Raven Scripts. Smile

An invaluable tool for your toolbox is Beyond Compare 3, worth every last penny! It will show you the differences between what nuken started with and where he ended up.

Yes, I know there are other tools, including Winmerge, but BC3 is simply the Gold Standard.
