Forums - Admin permissions error

Kk ... got a new one

Have crawled all over the forums to see if I could find the answer without having to post ... but, either I'm not seeing it (very possible) or it hasn't been posted before.

Everything's been working tickety-boo until I wanted to set some of the Forums to private ... then I get a General Error

I suspect that the issue is with ...

... where it perhaps ought to be '/tmp/...'. But not certain if this is something I can fix via FTP, or if it needs adressing from the MySQL end.

Or even if I'm way off base ... assistance would be welcome.

For one reason or another, you have some database tables that have become 'broken' and need to be repaired. The MYI means your MySQL Index table. The easiest way is to use phpMyAdmin and just click on the repair option. But, if I remember right, your host hasn't installed that yet, correct? Try getting hold of your host and tell then to run a MySQL Repair on all tables in your database. if none of those options work, get back with me and I will write you a short script that should fix it.

I just noticed this. This is a Permission Denied error to that file. Now, it is possible that the corruption of the index file is causing this, but it may be more than that. Your host should be able to fix it though.
