New Theme Released Metallic
papamike writes "I released my theme for Oct this week. Metallic was a simple theme to create and turned out to be a nice one. The colors in the theme allowed me to use the default template for phpBB2 in the forums. Extra graphics included.
I have 2 more themes to release and then everything else I release will be designed using my theming utility PMCCT. I have some really good themes coming in '09 and in Nov and Dec this year.

Game over? Micro$oft, Nokia adopt jQuery

Note:Raven: Well, it remains t be seen as to whether M$ will follow through. My most favorite operating system, ever, was O/S2. It did and would have continued to envelop window$ and when M$ saw what was happening they suddenly decided that the Big Blue alliance wasn't such a good idea.
It is worthy of mentioning that RavenNuke™ v2.3 is now using jQuery and we have already adopted jQuery as a standard in v2.4, along with PHP5.x. At least we saw the light before M$ :lol:

The newest Firefox 3.0.3 basically fixes a problem where users were unable to retrieve saved passwords or save new passwords.
Firefox’s Mike Beltzner explains:
* The symptom is that users who have password data stores with non-ASCII data saved as something other than UTF-8 (more common for people who have saved passwords on IDN domains or non en-US domains) will not be able to access their saved passwords or create any new saved passwords. There is no permanent dataloss, the saved data is just inaccessible.

ISPs endorse user opt-in on Web tracking, deflect calls for privacy laws
nb1 writes "Three of the four largest Internet service providers in the U.S. promised today that they will adopt policies requiring them to get meaningful permission from customers before tracking their online activities for targeted advertising purposes.
But the ISPs also took the opportunity to tell federal lawmakers at a U.S. Senate committee hearing that new legislation aimed at protecting online privacy isn't needed at this point.
